
Next Class Starts March 30th
No Prerequisites :These skills are the base level skills you will need to proceed to more advanced projects. You will learn many different processes and techniques to make a variety of leather goods. Students will work at their own pace with a master level instructor guiding them in their making. Students will take home finished pieces of art of their making.
The following will be covered in this course:
- Introduction to choosing the right tools and how to use them
- Designing and Pattern Making
- Choosing the Right Leather
- Adhesive Selection and Use
- Hand Saddle Stitching
- Preparing edges and choosing the appropriate dye/paint]
10 Classes, 4 hours per day on Wednesdays from 1-5pm. All materials and tools provided.
Projects will be made with top quality calf and/or goat leather or can upgrade to exotic hides such as alligator, python, stingray and others at an additional cost.
All students begin in Level 101 regardless of past experience.
$1000 deposit due at registration to reserve space. Balance due 7 days prior to class start date.
